Chapman was born in Essex. In 2019 he married singer Adriana. The couple have been together since 2018. He portrayed the lead role of Stanley Brown in the CBBC sitcom The Revolting World of Stanley Brown, and starred as Tommen Baratheon in the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons of the HBO drama series Game of Thrones. He starred as Castor in the AMC martial arts drama series Into the Badlands
